Mary Meeker is one of the technology industry’s most influential investors and analysts, renowned for identifying major shifts in technology, consumer behaviour and digital business models before they become mainstream. She is currently a General Partner at BOND, where she focuses on investments in high-growth technology companies.

For decades, Mary has been closely associated with understanding and explaining the forces reshaping the technology economy. She began publishing her widely followed Internet Trends reports in 1995, turning complex datasets into accessible insights about how technology was transforming business and society. The reports became influential reference points for entrepreneurs, executives and investors navigating the digital economy.

Before moving into venture capital, Mary spent approximately two decades at Morgan Stanley, where she became Managing Director and led the firm's global technology research practice. Her research covered emerging technology companies including Amazon, Google, eBay, Microsoft, Apple, Adobe and PayPal, giving her a front-row perspective on the development of the modern internet economy.

In 2010, Mary joined Kleiner Perkins, where she co-led its Digital Growth Fund. Her investments have included companies such as Airbnb, Spotify, Pinterest, Plaid, DocuSign, Instacart, Peloton, Ring, Waze, JD.com and Meta. The Digital Growth Fund subsequently became BOND in 2019, establishing Mary and her colleagues as independent growth investors.

Today, her perspective increasingly encompasses artificial intelligence and the next generation of technology-driven transformation. BOND has invested in companies including Applied Intuition, Canva, Checkr, Ironclad, Multiverse and OpenEvidence, while Mary currently serves on the boards of Block/Square, Genies and OpenEvidence.

Her recent research also demonstrates the breadth of her interests. In 2025, she revisited USA Inc., examining the financial position and long-term fiscal challenges of the United States. She has also published work examining the rapid development of AI and its implications for universities, education, learning and global competitiveness.
