Paolo Tasca keynote speaker

Dr Paolo Tasca is a digital economist, entrepreneur, and global thought leader in Web3, blockchain, and digital finance. He is the Founder and Executive Chairman of Exponential Science, a global deep-tech foundation dedicated to advancing research, education, and innovation across blockchain, artificial intelligence, and emerging digital technologies.

For more than a decade, he was at University College London, where he founded and directed the award-winning UCL Centre for Blockchain Technologies—the world’s largest research hub on blockchain. He now serves as Executive Director of the UK Centre for Blockchain Technologies, a joint initiative of UCL, Oxford University, and the University of Birmingham. In addition, he is a part-time Professor of Fintech Research at PHBS UK.

He has advised global institutions including the United Nations, the European Parliament, the European Central Bank, the Bank of Canada, and the Banca d’Italia, and has served on advisory and standardisation committees such as ISO TC307, INATBA, and the Algorand Foundation. A prolific author and patent holder, he has co-edited four seminal books on blockchain and digital assets. His thought leadership has been featured in The New York Times, Bloomberg, Forbes, New Scientist, and The Wall Street Journal.
