Mathew Seneviratne

Mathew is a former Federal Agent in the Australian Federal Police and has succeeded in the most demanding areas: Counter Terrorism, Serious Organised Crime, People Smuggling, Human Trafficking, Child Protection and Cyber Crime. He has come face to face with fear, survived life-threatening situations under immense pressure and was awarded the Bravery Medal for this.

Having been a leader at the forefront of significant law enforcement operations, Mathew goes beyond the academic perspective. He shares his first-hand experience, such as preventing terrorist attacks and obtaining willing confessions from terrorists.

He has also delivered briefings to political leaders, foreign officials, organisations and government agencies.

Mathew knows first-hand what it takes to be a successful leader and build high performing teams.

His mission now is to make a difference and serve causes bigger than himself.

He shares experiences, lessons and authentic insights in a manner that is instantly relatable, engaging and inspiring.

Mathew has lectured on counter terrorism, cyber security, terrorist networks, counter- radicalisation and policing at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. Mathew holds a Master of Policing, Intelligence and Counter Terrorism from Macquarie University and a Bachelor of International Business from Queensland University of Technology.
