Sunni Brown is a business owner, creative director, speaker and co-author of one of Amazon’s Top 100 Business Books titled GameStorming: A Playbook for Rule-breakers, Innovators and Changemakers.
She’s best known for her large-scale live content visualizations, and she is also the leader of The Doodle Revolution – a growing effort to debunk the myth that doodling is a distraction. Using common sense, experience and neuroscience, Sunni is proving that to doodle is to ignite your whole mind – a concept she reinforced at the TED Conference in Long Beach this year. Look for her 2nd book, The Doodle Revolution, in 2012. Together, we’ll put the DO in doodle! Sunni’s work was recently featured on the Boing Boing, BBC, CNN, The Washington Post, Fast Company (coming in at #56 on the 100 Most Creative People in Business List and #5 on the 10 Most Creative People on Twitter list), Shape Magazine, Net Magazine UK, A List Apart and the Arab News. Sunni has presented on graphic facilitation, Gamestorming and innovation, and visual thinking and the brain at events like SXSW, the IDEA Conference, the TED Conference, Duarte Design, the NY School of Visual Arts and her living room.
As for her consultancy, BrightSpot I.D., it specializes in visual thinking and information design and partners with the best in the field.
She was trained in graphic facilitation at The Grove Consultants International, a San Francisco-based company that pioneered the use of large-scale visuals in business settings. Sunni co-founded VizThink Austin, which under her leadership grew to be the largest visual thinking community in the U.S. She is also one really funny lady.
