Pedro Uria-Recio is the author of the book “Machines of Tomorrow: From AI Origins to Superintelligence and Posthumanity.”
Pedro is also the Chief Analytics & AI Officer at True Corporation, a leading telecom company in Thailand. Pedro oversees analytics and AI for the digital part of the business. He runs a business unit that uses telecom data to create enterprise solutions for advertising, credit scoring, and consumer intelligence.
Prior to that, Pedro was the Group VP of Analytics at Axiata Group, a Southeast Asian digital and telecom conglomerate, and a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, focusing on telco and financial services.
With a strong interest in entrepreneurship, Pedro is also a Business Angel and was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence in Antler, a Singapore-based VC studio.
Pedro is an official member and contributor at Forbes Technology Council and a two-time TEDx speaker. He has been recognized as one of the 2020 Global Top 100 Innovators in Data & Analytics and won Cloudera’s 2019 Industry Transformation Award. Finally, Pedro is a Chicago
