ABOUT SPEAKER

Dr Aleks Krotoski is an award-winning broadcaster, social psychologist, author, and one of the world's leading voices on the relationship between technology and human behaviour. Best known as the creator and presenter of BBC Radio 4's acclaimed The Digital Human, Aleks explores how emerging technologies—from artificial intelligence and social media to digital identity and online communities—are reshaping the way we live, work, learn, and connect.

With more than two decades of experience at the intersection of psychology, technology, and society, Aleks combines academic research with compelling storytelling to help organizations understand the human impact of digital transformation. She holds a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Surrey, where her pioneering research examined how ideas, trust, and behaviours spread through online communities, making her one of the earliest researchers to study digital social networks.

Aleks has presented numerous award-winning programmes for the BBC and Channel 4, including the landmark television series The Virtual Revolution, which examined how the internet transformed business, politics, relationships, and culture. She has interviewed many of the world's leading technology pioneers—including Sir Tim Berners-Lee, Bill Gates, and Jeff Bezos—and regularly contributes to international discussions on artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital ethics, and the future of society.

An accomplished journalist and bestselling author, Aleks has written extensively for The Guardian, Nature, MIT Technology Review, The Telegraph, and other leading publications. Her book, Untangling the Web: What the Internet is Doing to You, explores the psychology behind our digital lives and remains a widely respected examination of technology's influence on human behaviour.

Whether speaking to global corporations, governments, universities, or technology conferences, Aleks delivers thought-provoking, highly engaging presentations that challenge audiences to think differently about innovation. Rather than focusing solely on technology itself, she reveals the human stories behind digital transformation, helping leaders understand how trust, creativity, ethics, and human connection will define success in the AI era.
