Giulio Toscani, PhD from KTH Stockholm, Italian, 50 years old. 20+ years on Digital Strategy. He is a professor at ESADE in Barcelona, Spain, teaching in the Law School and Business School for EMBA and MSc programs. He also teaches as a visiting professor at CCL in Belgium, Politecnico Milano in Italy, Pacifico Business School in Lima, Bath Business School in the UK, ALU African Leadership University in Rwanda, and Globis and NUCB in Japan.
Additionally, Giulio serves as an investor and advisor for Navozyme in Singapore and Muns in Spain, and he’s worked with numerous multinational companies such as Telefonica in several countries, General Electric in Europe, Nike and Megafon in Russia, Bic in France, and Bayer and PWC in Spain.
His vast experience on Big Data/AI springs from his work on location-system behavioural analysis and time perception projects at Telefonica to studies on AI at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is also currently in the board of Navozyme a digital company based in Singapore. Giulio is actively involved in research projects with Data Scientist to improve their performance with advanced technologies. He published in several academic journals and magazines like Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Services Marketing, Harvard Deusto, El Economista, Gentleman, ESADE Do Better, etc.
Prof. Toscani holds a degree on chemical engineering, and he started his career as a patent attorney for chemical plants in Lugano, Switzerland. He also plays the side flute, he is a yoga teacher, a vipassana meditator and an ultra-trail runner with personal record of 120 km. he has worked, visited or lived in 115 countries, most recently having cycled solo across Mongolia, Vietnam, Laos the Black Sea and Caucasus.
