Leslie Osborne is a former professional soccer player, veteran of the US Women’s National Soccer Team, a Women's World Cup player, sports broadcaster, a leading figure in athlete entrepreneurship, and a keynote speaker.
Leslie has created and cohosts Redefined, a show (audio and video) telling the stories of multi-faceted, bad-ass women breaking barriers in sports and business. Hosted by Leslie Osborne and Arielle Houlihan—entrepreneurs, athletes, and moms—the show features candid conversations with female athletes and those whose lives are driven by the business of sports, who’ve turned their competitive drive into groundbreaking ventures.
Leslie is also a sports broadcaster with Fox Sports, having covered three consecutive FIFA Women's World Cups for the network (2015, 2019, 2023). She has also worked with CBS/Paramount+ and Just Women's Sports, Pac 12 network, and more.
Among her most impactful ventures is as a co-founder and owner of the NWSL expansion team, Bay FC, which made its NWSL debut during the 2024 season. Leslie and fellow US Women’s National Soccer Team teammates and Santa Clara University alumni Brandi Chastain, Aly Wagner, and Danielle Slaton are among an elite group to spearhead the club and make it a global sporting brand. Continuing down the sports entrepreneur path, Leslie is also the co-owner of the newly announced LOVB San Francisco team, the women’s new professional volleyball league that will launch in 2027.
A respected keynote speaker, Leslie’s soccer career has helped shape her presentations to audiences that range from C-suite executives, medical staff, students, and more. She delivers tailored, heartfelt, and dynamic speeches that include how Leslie has embraced her setbacks, leaned in to her pivots, shone with humility during adversity, to creating success on and off the field. In her various keynotes, Leslie discusses how her Midwest upbringing, injuries, inquisitive mind, and sheer determination have created a path of entrepreneurship and engaged storytelling.
