Michael Perry has recently joined Persona AI as Head of Commercial Strategy, bringing deep expertise in commercializing physical AI and robotics at scale. He previously held senior leadership roles at Dexterity and Boston Dynamics, where he helped bring AI-driven robotic systems into real-world industrial, logistics, and enterprise environments. With decades of experience translating advanced robotics into deployable, revenue-generating products, Michael pairs technical fluency with sharp go-to-market instincts to accelerate adoption of physical AI in the workforce.
Before Boston Dynamics, Perry was the Managing Director of North America at DJI, the world leader in drone technology, from January 2014 to August 2018. His responsibilities included fostering enterprise customers for drone technology and managing sales and marketing in North America, DJI’s largest market.
Perry began their career as an Associate Director at APCO Worldwide from September 2009 to December 2013. In this role, they provided strategic communications counsel to clients in a variety of industries.
From September 2007 to September 2009, Perry was a Media Analyst at The Rendon Group. In this role, they conducted media analysis for clients in the defense and intelligence industries.
Perry began their professional career as a Business Intern at Enspire Learning from August 2006 to December 2006.
Michael Patrick Perry received their B.A. from The University of Texas at Austin in Chinese and Government. Michael then went on to receive a Language Certificate in Mandarin Chinese from Nanjing University. Finally, they studied Mandarin Chinese at East China Normal University.
